Named after an eponymous series of photographs by the artists, Vorobyev's exhibition "Phantom Stories" is divided between two spaces, which allows the artists to present several cycles of works centred around a single theme. The art historian Viktor Misiano, who contгibuted an essay to the exhibition catalogue, describes the exhibition as an exploration of "the ambivalence of our relationship with the past and its ghosts".

The exhibition includes an important new body of work, as well as the artists' projects and installations, previously exhibited abroad, but presented in Kazakhstan for the first time.
